In this exciting position, you will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO). You play an important role in purchasing for our locations in Germany and the USA. You are interested in helping to shape or build up our purchasing department.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As an all-rounder in purchasing, you can expect a varied and exciting range of tasks.

With your end-to-end mindset, you act entrepreneurially and always have the goal of total cost optimization for Parkstory in mind. You think strategically and act pragmatically in an international environment.


  • Collaboration in global customer projects in an interdisciplinary team including design, sales, software development and external partners such as suppliers
  • Translation of the project requirements into meaningful and comparable tender documents
  • Evaluation of the offers and ensuring comparability
  • Purchase of production services, assembly and auxiliary materials as well as comprehensive consumables
  • Purchase of services, particularly in the field of automation technology and electrical planning
  • Development of effective quality management for delivery and execution
  • Development of a partner and supplier network with many design options

Finance & Purchasing Controlling

  • Negotiation of conditions & payment modalities in the contracts
  • Management and coordination of customer schedules with external service provision
  • Support for budget planning and monitoring through to payment

Our requirements

  • Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) or comparable training in the field of industrial engineering or technical business administration
  • Approx. 5 years experience in purchasing and/or finance
  • Practical experience with contract texts and contract negotiations
  • Commercial and technical understanding
  • Analytical way of thinking, ability to work in a team and a structured and independent way of working
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
  • Basic willingness to travel between Parkstory locations and selected suppliers
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information
  • Proactive and independent way of working and a high degree of initiative
